AK-47 training: How cool is that? Even as a mechanic, being in a Special Forces unit gave me opportunities to do so much more in the Army than I had ever been able to do before. The following day, we helped the SF guys train new Kuwaiti recruits to fire weapons we ourselves had only fired for the first time the day before! It is, I believe, a testament to the overall quality of training we received as US soldiers that we were able to do that successfully.
